Customs and traditions related to the rain.

The most traditional celebration of the Tarahumaras:

Also known as the Raramuris, the Tarahumaras are a small town that belongs to the State of Chihuahua in Mexico that counts on a great variety of commemorations that are celebrated during the year.

They are characterized by being religious, hard working and family people. The Awilachi festivities are heavily involved with activities related to agriculture and family unity. It all begins when people ask for rain to be able to sow and then be able to thank for the harvest that is received.

The most traditional celebration of the Mayas: The Lol cah.

It is a ceremony of Mayan traditions, it is a solemn moment for this population where prayers are performed in the Mayan language to ask the gods for rainfall, so that there is no shortage of planting and harvesting of corn during the year.
To ask for the rain, is made a purification of the Mayan people, and the planting of a sacred tree is made, and offerings are made to the God Chac who is the one who brings the rain.

The rain of Yoro fish is a meteorological phenomenon that happens in the city of Yoro.
This happens annually between May and July, according to witnesses begins with dense clouds through the sky, lightning and thunder, strong winds and a rain that lasts 2 to 3 hours.
At the end, live fish are found on the ground.
The villagers pick them up and take them home.

My personal opinion is that I did not know if it was very efficient to pray for water. But what I am sure is that with the faith of a whole people, everything was possible.
